A Welcome From Gethsemane

Welcome to Gethsemane United Baptist Church, an affiliate of the Bethlehem Association. Please feel free to browse the site, maybe reading about the founding and history of GUBC. We can also be found on Facebook if you’d like to follow us there.

We are located on 4-H Camp Road in Barboursville, WV. Our physical address is 3194 Booten Creek Rd. (also known as 4-H Camp Rd.), Barboursville, WV 25504. You can get directions to us Google Maps here. Thank you for taking the time to check us out. We would like to welcome you to join us for services anytime you are in the area.

If you are new to either Gethsemane United Baptist Church or the area, you might have some questions about us before stopping by. So, let me introduce ourselves to you a little. By today’s standards, we are a small country church. You will find a warm welcome by a loving church family when you come visit us. We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God and in letting the Holy Spirit guide the services. We believe in fellowship during services and often have family prayer. (For terms that you may not be familiar with scroll down the page a little farther.) And like all good Baptists, we believe in a good fellowship meal from time to time!

What we believe and why we believe it can be found in our Synopsis of Faith and Supporting Scriptures.

We have services every Sunday morning (10:00 am Sunday school, 11:00 am morning worship) and evening (6:00 pm evening worship), as well as midweek prayer meeting/Bible study on Wednesday (7:00 pm).

Our Pastor is Danny Dailey and assistant Pastor is Lee Fraley. We can be contacted here. More information about our offices and groups can be found here.

We also have a form to submit prayer requests to us and we consider it an honor to enter into intercession with our Lord on your behalf. You may request the prayer be answered (replied to via email), shared with others to pray for your need, too, or to keep it in confidence. Please go here to learn more and share your prayer needs with us,
